CO2 Laser-Assisted Stripping and Cleaving of Advanced Photonic Components
The project partners aim to develop and innovative CO2 laser based system for cleaving and stripping specialty optical fibers and fiber ribbons. The outcome shall be a stand-alone product for sophisticated, high yield and contamination free processing of fiber for high power or sensing applications as well as a special OEM device for fiber ribbons to be integrated into assembly machines for the silicone photonics market.
