SELF-INSTALLED TYRE-BASED ANTI-SCOUR SYSTEM IN OFFSHORE WIND SELF-FLOATING GBS TOWERS

Our project is related to the offshore wind industry and represents an improvement to gravity base systems (GBS) in towers. We want to develop a system to install anti-scour material (tyre-filled nets) around a self-floating GBS (in the dry dock) so that it works once the wind tower is at its final position on the sea bed. We will produce a detailed design and also an actual 1:1 prototype based on our H2020 funded currently on going ELISA/ELICAN projects (they refer to the GBS and the tower).
