A NOVEL HYALURONIC ACID-BASED GEL TO CONTROL BLEEDING DURING HIGH RISK SURGERY
HEMOSPERE will develop a novel medical device, consisting of a haemostatic gel and dedicated applicator, to treat bleedings during high risk surgery like neurosurgery. With proprietary flow chemistry technology, a unique non-swelling hyaluronic acid-based gel is obtained that is safe for use in space-restricted sites like near critical tissues. This project delivers an optimized gel manufacturing process, a dedicated applicator and the preclinical efficacy and safety data package.
