CentrOx – Development of High Performance Emission Reduction Technology for Restaurant Chains
The aim is to develop a high performance emission reduction system (CentrOx) for airborne emissions from restaurants. CentrOx will have significantly lower cost of operation and much higher performance than traditional systems, removing 100% of particles > 1 micron and 95-98% of odorous volatile organic compounds from the kitchen exhaust. This will be achieved through a combination of advanced centrifugal separation and a proprietary cold oxidation system (see conceptual design Annex 1).
