Fan-type periodically oriented GaAs in mid-IR TunablE Laser fOr Nano/micro-scale spectroscopy

The main driving idea is the development of efficient laser sources which are tunable in the MIR wavelength range, easy to operate and adaptable for applications like spectroscopic instruments, material science and machining. These laser sources will be based on a new parametrical frequency conversion approach using Ho-doped 2.1 μm wavelength lasers and fan-type periodically patterned GaAs crystals. The single step wavelength conversion ensures system simplicity and reliability.
