The UK has been a member of EUREKA since 1985 and held the Chairmanship in 1997/98. The UK EUREKA office is administered through Innovate UK, former Technology Strategy Board.
Innovate UK is a Non-departmental public body (NDPB), established by the United Kingdom Government in 2007 and sponsored by the UK Government department, Business Innovation & Skills (BIS).
The activities of Innovate UK are jointly supported and funded by BIS, other Government Departments and UK Research Councils.
