Since 2008, the Eurostars progamme has contributed to the realization of the European Research Area (ERA) to the benefit of SMEs.
Eurostars complements existing EU initiatives intended to support SMEs conducting research. It aimed to fill an existing gap, using tools that were on the market but not used in this combination.
The Eurostars-2 Programme contributes to speed-up development of the technologies and innovations that will underpin tomorrow’s businesses and help innovative European SMEs to grow into world-leading companies.
This event will demonstrate the progress towards further alignment and synchronization of the national research and innovation programmes and will provide information on setting up R&D projects with international partners.
It will look into the main achievements and challenges for the programme and its target audience and funding bodies ahead of its interim evaluation and the preparations for the next framework programming period.
It will tackle the expectations and key factors preventing most SMEs from reaching their full potential as well as the necessary measures needed to be taken.
This Eurostars Annual event is organised in Amsterdam and Brussels on 12 and 13 October 2016. While the Amsterdam event (12/10/2016) targets mainly the SMEs and the process, operation and matchmaking activities to participate in the Eurostars programme, the Brussels event (13/10/2016) targets the EU institutions and the political stakeholders
