A Eurostars roadsow took place in Istanbul, Turkey, on May 23. Dr. Peter Chisnall from the EUREKA Secretariat and Emre Yurttagul from TÜBİTAK explained the Eurostars programme and Turkish national funding rules to an interested audience, while Eurostars-2 Independent Evaluation Panel Chairperson Prof. Sinan Akmandor gave some tips on how to prepare a good Eurostars application.
The programme also showcased the Turkish Eurostars success story Blotherm (more on the project here) and included a session on 'How to find an international partner' held by the local office of the Enterprise Europe network (EEN).
The 43 participants of the event mostly representated SMEs and large industry, but also included high-level figures like Dr. İlker Murat AR, TÜBİTAK’s Vice President, who also attended the event.
Roadshow in Zagreb, with Swiss participation
On June 6, around 50 participants attended a Eurostars roadshow in Zagreb, Croatia. Most of the SMEs wanted to discuss their innovative ideas with representatives from the EUREKA Secretariat (Enrico Tricanico) and Eurostars national representatives from Croatia (Marija Galeković) and Switzerland (Andreas Gut). Switzerland announced a cooperation agreement with Croatia in order to involve more Croatian participants in Eurostars 2.
