This training session organised by the National Research Council Canada (NRC) in collaboration with the EUREKA Secretariat will aim to inform the participants about the EUREKA instruments and the public funding opportunities available for companies interested to develop international R&D projects:
- Network projects: transnational, market-driven innovative research and development projects
- The Eurostars programme: joint programme between EUREKA and the European Commission. It is the first European funding and support programme to be specifically dedicated to research-performing SMEs.
- Clusters: long-term and strategically significant initiatives that develop technologies of key importance for European competitiveness.
This training session is targeting NRC and particularly IRAPS (http://www.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/eng/irap/index.html) people from everywhere in Canada.
During these three days a special focus will be done on the Eurostars programme which will be explained in details.
EUREKA is a publicly-funded, intergovernmental network, involving over 40 countries. EUREKA’s aim is to enhance European competitiveness by fostering innovation-driven entrepreneurship in Europe, between small and large industry, research institutes and universities.
