The ISRM Regional Symposium EUROCK 2015 will be held in conjunction with the 64th Geomechanics Colloquium in Salzburg, the city where the International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM) was founded in 1962.
The Geomechanics Colloquium in Salzburg since its initiation in 1951 has always been a perfect and distinguished meeting place for researchers and practitioners. The success of this concept not only shows in the continuous meetings over more than 60 years, but also in the attendance of regularly around 1000 participants.
The agenda includes a technical exhibition, a plenary session, parallel sessions and workshops.
The participants will have also the opportunity to discuss and learn about the results of the Eurostars EMSAT project, one of the three finalists of the EUREKA Innovation Award 2014. Representatives of Geodata Ziviltechnikergesellschaft Mbh, the Austrian partner involved in the project, will be available in the exhibition area to show the achievements of the Eurostars project EMSAT.
The aim of the project EMSAT was to develop a system continuously (online) producing and providing monitoring and simulation data relevant for a safe and economic tunnel construction during the excavation with a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM).
