After its association to the EUREKA network, Chile’s innovation agency CORFO organised a launch event of a multilateral call jointly organized with six other EUREKA countries (Spain, France, Israel, Czech Republic, Sweden and Turkey) on November 3rd.
The executive vice president of CORFO, Eduardo Bitran, said: "For Chile it is a real pride that Corfo has joined this world leader club of agencies promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. It represents an opportunity to develop joint programs, and make relevant innovation for our country, in addition to promoting strategic alliances between Chilean and international companies. Chile has the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the leading countries in business technological innovation, to mobilize knowledge, research and development to apply it in productive processes and services, and thus to impact on our national economic development".
Open until January 25th 2018, the call invites projects in all thematic areas, however, special focus is given to sustainable use of natural resources, sustainable mining, agrofood, solar energy, sustainable construction and buildings, as well as ICT across all the above areas as an enabling technology.
